Bonding
The tooth enamel is gently etched to enhance adhesion before a dentist applies color-matched resin compound over a crooked, short, chipped, decayed or broken tooth. A special light is then used to harden and bond it to the tooth underneath.

Whitening

Coffee, tea, red wine, and many other foods naturally stain teeth and can lead to yellow or discoloured teeth.  In office whitening or custom-made take home whitening trays can be used to remove these stains and improve the appearance of your smile.  A desensitizing toothpaste is often recommended, as some transient sensitivity may occur.

Sports Mouthguards

If you or your child plays a contact sport such as hockey, football, martial arts or lacrosse, a mouthguard is a recommended appliance to help protect teeth and reduce the risk of concussions.  Mouthguards help to reduce injury to the teeth and jaws by protecting them from trauma, and reduce concussions by acting as a shock absorber.  Custom made mouthguards are economical, and are more comfortable than "boil and bite" guards.

Mouthguards should be considered in any activity where the risk of an injury or concussion is high, even for non-contact sports such as soccer and basketball.

Grinding (bruxism) and Snoring appliances

Do you find yourself waking up with sore cheek muscles or tension headaches?  The cause might be bruxism, or grinding your teeth in your sleep, a very common habit.  Not only does this lead to muscle tension and headaches, but it leads to excessive wear of teeth which can result in sensitivity, fractures, and loss of tooth structure.  A custom made nightguard will allow your teeth to slide freely, and avoid or decrease the destructive grinding process.

Nightguards can also be customized to help reduce snoring, if you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea or are just keeping those around you awake with your snoring.

Cosmetic Contouring
In the economical aesthetics procedure, the dentist gently sands and shaves away small areas of the teeth. The procedure can help bring harmony to slightly uneven teeth, smooth ragged edges or bulges, soften pointy canines and even round square-angled teeth to create a more feminine smile in women.

Crowns
Also called caps, crowns can be used in place of veneers to make a crooked smile appear straighter, to repair broken or damaged teeth or to cover a bridge or implant. The tooth surface is reduced, then covered with a custom cap in porcelain, porcelain bonded to metal, or another durable substance. Crowns are sometimes used side-by-side with veneers in a full-mouth restoration procedure.

Dental Implants
Titanium metal root placed where tooth was previously. Bone forms an extremely solid and stable structure. Implants can hold a single crown, a bridge, an entire arch or even dentures. The ‘gold standard’ of dentistry.

Veneers
Natural-looking , strong and stain-resistant, wafer-thin porcelain veneers can be used to correct just one, or multiple teeth. Veneers can be used to correct crooked teeth or to improve the appearance of a discolored, worn or chipped smile. To create a perfect fit and adhesion, the dentist reduces the thickness of the teeth, then chemically etches the enamel before placing the veneers.
